Start of our trip

Day 1 of our trip started in Boise as we loaded up the car and headed out on an 8 hour drive to Chelan to drop off Rustee with Mom and Dad. As usual we got a late start and didn't get into Chelan until late evening. Had dinner and visited for a bit until thoroughly pooped out and went to bed.

Day 2 started out with breakfast and some more visiting and then loaded up the car again and left for Renton and cousin Dories house. She had graciously invited us to stay with her and to take us to the airport in the morning. We arrived there to the smells of cooking! We had an early Thanksgiving dinner with some of her friends and Uncle Bud and Aunt Bubbles. Had a great time visiting!

Day 3 up early and repacked bags. I had to add some bubble wrap around the 19 inch monitor that I was taking for my notebook computer as it was going in my checked luggage. We will see if it survives the baggage handlers!!

Flew from Sea-Tac airport to Maui in about 6 1/2 hours, then hustled to the next flight to Lihue on Kauai. When we landed in Lihue, I watched them unload the baggage and saw them throw my bag onto a cart...hoping my monitor survived!

Lori and Kailin were waiting at the curb for us in their trusty Camry station wagon. Still going strong but now missing all of the door handles. This is an incredible car that they purchased on Maui for $200 and has kept on ticking for countless journeys...it just acquires more "character" over time.



Stopped at Costco for something for dinner and headed for Kekaha with Kailin and Popee in the back seat chatting up a storm!








London was home from school when we got there. It was sooo great to see him and Kailin! 

Dinner was pizza from Costco and then got settled in.

Looonnngggg day, happy to be here and ready for bed!
